Aug 15 | 7-9 PM | Colleges That Change Lives (CTCL) Albuquerque Fair | Marriott Albuquerque, 2101 Louisiana Boulevard NE: Join 40+ schools from the Colleges That Change Lives network for an information session and college fair. Register online here. Colleges attending that meet full demonstrated need are: Denison, Reed, St. Olaf, and Oberlin with other schools offering significant merit scholarships, or tend to get pretty close on need-based aid.

Aug 20 | 6-7 PM | STARS Virtual Panel: Rural and Small-Town College Students: Join current college students from Caltech, The Ohio State University, Washington University in St. Louis, and Yale University to learn more about college life and the transition from a rural or small-town high school to a large university.
Aug 21 | 5-6 PM | College Essay Guy: Case Study of a Successful College Application Process (And What You Can Learn from it): This webinar will cover tips for a more successful college application process by analyzing a successful application from a past student.
Aug 22 | 12-1 PM | QuestBridge: Fall 2024 Updates for Educators and CBOs: Join this educator-only call to learn about program updates for the fall. (note: this is not for students or families).
Sep 3 | 6-7 PM | STARS Virtual Panel: Mock Application Workshop: Join college representatives to get a sneak peek at what a real college application looks like and learn some tips and tricks on how to approach your own college search process.
Sep 9 | 11 AM-12 PM | Quest for College Virtual Information Session for Counselors: Join admissions representatives from Colorado College, University of Chicago, University of Southern California, Vanderbilt University, and Yale University to learn about making a college list, applying for admission and financial aid, and keeping your search in perspective. Representatives will discuss benefits of the QuestBridge application, which allows high-achieving, low-income students from U.S. high schools to match with the top colleges around the country (note: this is not for students or families).
SCHOLARSHIPS & FINANCIAL AID
The Coca Cola Scholarship is worth $20,000 and is open until September 20 at 3pm Mountain Time.
The QuestBridge application deadline is September 26. QuestBridge partner colleges offer full four-year scholarships to students from limited-income backgrounds, and they matched a record number of students last year.
The Daniels Scholarship is for low-income students in New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah. The application opens September 16, and the deadline is October 18.
The Elks Scholarship ranges from $1,000-$7,500 per year, and is awarded to 500 students nationwide. The application deadline is November 12.
The Hagan Scholarship supports high-achieving, goal-driven students in their goal to graduate college debt-free. Hagan provides up to $15k per year, plus a $2k starter grant, and also gives students money to invest in the stock market. The application opens September 1, and the deadline is December 1.
December 1 is the priority scholarship deadline for most in-state and WUE schools.
