Apr 17 | 5-6:30 PM | College Essay Guy: Fly-In Programs for Students & Counselors: Learn the purpose of fly-in programs for both counselors and students and how they can support college access and decision-making.
Apr 23 | 5-6 PM | STARS@MIT: Applying to College as a Small-Town or Rural Student: Learn about navigating the college admissions process and highlighting the unique strengths of students from a small-town or rural area. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and speak with current STARS Ambassadors at MIT!
May 3 | 2-3 PM | Northwest 5 Virtual Event: 5 Tips to Kick Off Your College Search: The Northwest 5 Consortium invites prospective students and families to discover five premier liberal arts colleges in Oregon and Washington. Hear from admission deans and directors from Lewis & Clark, Puget Sound, Reed, Whitman, and Willamette.
May 26 | 6-7:30 PM | STARS Virtual College Fair: Join all 32 STARS Network partner colleges and universities to discover the opportunities each school has to offer.
SCHOLARSHIPS & FINANCIAL AID
The Hadden Scholarship awards up to $10,000 per year to high school seniors with demonstrated financial need, for up to four years of college undergraduate study. Hadden Scholars must be U.S. citizens matriculating at a four-year accredited college or university established in the United States. There is a minimum unweighted grade point average requirement, 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. The deadline to apply is May 15.
The Cameron Impact Scholarship (for current 11th graders) is a merit-based four-year, full-tuition, impact-driven undergraduate scholarship awarded annually to 15 exceptional high school students who have demonstrated excellence in leadership, community service, extracurricular activities, and academics. Early Application Deadline for the Class of 2026 is May 21 at 1PM MT.
Santa Fe Community Foundation offers multiple scholarship opportunities. In addition to regionally-based scholarships that apply more locally, the Sussman-Miller Educational Assistance Fund offers awards that can be used at either in-state or out-of-state institutions. It focuses on closing the gap for students who have financial need. The deadline to apply is June 1. For more information, register for the webinar on Tuesday, May 13 at 6pm.
Mana del Norte Scholarship offers ten awards to Hispanas/Latinas from one of the following northern New Mexico counties: Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, Santa Fe, San Miguel, or Taos. Students can be working toward Associates, Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degrees. MANA del Norte is especially interested in supporting women with a cultural connection to Northern New Mexico and who are first-generation, and/or have other areas of challenge such as re-entering college, or being the head of their household. The deadline to apply is June 1.

Coalition for College Recursos en Español: Spanish language webinars and resources for students and families.
Johns Hopkins hosts a College Planning Guide website, complete with a terminology glossary, example essays from former applicants, and a financial aid section for parents. Counselors and educators can also watch recurring and live webinars found on their Counselor & Educator Event page.
CollegeWise has a resource bank, including posts and webinar recordings on a full range of topics, from testing, to summer opportunities, to understanding the difference between Early Action and Early Decision.
